Full image support for Box Doc Gen templates (May 2025)

We are incredibly excited to announce full image support for Box Doc Gen templates! This feature will enable users to dynamically merge PNG and JPEG images directly into Box Doc Gen templates when leveraging the Box Doc Gen Template Creator Add-In for Microsoft Word. Currently, in order to populate Box Doc Gen templates with images, users can only request a Base64 string, which limits their ability to generate well-formatted custom documents with images. This feature will streamline the Box Doc Gen template creation process and provide a much more user friendly and frictionless experience.
